Arbitration

Judith is an experienced arbitrator and is an active member of several American Arbitration Association panels.  Judith serves on the AAA Large Complex Commercial Disputes Panel, Commercial Disputes Panel, R-38 (formerly R-39) Emergency Commercial Disputes Panel, Financial Services Panel, and Consumer Disputes Panel.

Judith has served as an arbitrator in over 95 active commercial and consumer arbitrations administered by the AAA, either as the sole arbitrator or on a panel of 3 arbitrators. Judith has issued an array of orders addressing, among other things, the arbitrability of disputes, choice of law, confidentiality, escrow, attorneys’ fees, scheduling, discovery, electronic discovery, motions to dismiss, motions for sanctions, and stay of proceedings. Judith has issued interim and final Awards following single and multi-day final evidentiary hearings and by determination based on the submission of documents.  Judith also serves as an R-38 (formerly R-39) emergency arbitrator in which parties in commercial and large complex commercial arbitrations administered by the AAA seek emergency relief before the panel is constituted.

Judith has served on a panel of arbitrators for a mock complex commercial arbitration administered by a litigation consulting company.

 

Judith has also acted as an advocate in arbitration.

REMOTE OR IN-PERSON ARBITRATION

Arbitrations will take place remotely by Zoom video conferencing.

Alternatively, if requested by all parties, arbitration may be in person.

ARBITRATION SCHEDULING AND FEES

Arbitration is available for scheduling Monday through Friday. Weekends and holidays may be available upon request.
