Judith is an AV-rated attorney with broad and extensive experience as a litigator and transactional attorney, practicing law initially in New York City with a large national and international law firm and then in Miami. Having wide-ranging and deep experience in litigation and transactional work, combined with significant experience as a mediator and arbitrator, affords Judith with the substantive knowledge and practical experience required to understand, effectively analyze, and successfully facilitate the resolution of disputes.

EXPERIENCE

Mediation: 

Judith is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator. She is certified as a mediator by the Florida Department of Financial Services. Judith is also a member of the American Arbitration Association Roster of Mediators. Judith has served as mediator in over 250 mediations.

Arbitration: 

Judith is an experienced arbitrator on several American Arbitration Association panels. Judith has served as arbitrator in over 80 active commercial and consumer arbitrations administered by the AAA, either as sole arbitrator or on a panel of three arbitrators, many resulting in Awards following single or multi-day final hearings or based on the submission of documents. Judith has also served as an emergency arbitrator involving petitions for emergency relief. Judith has issued an array of interim and final Awards. Judith has served on a panel of arbitrators for a mock complex commercial arbitration administered by a litigation consulting company. Judith has also acted as an advocate in arbitration.

Litigation:

Judith’s litigation practice is grounded in complex commercial litigation, and extends to many other areas of litigation, including insurance coverage, construction litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, negligent security, mass torts, sexual harassment, healthcare, wrongful administration of trust, banking, real estate litigation, condominium litigation, commercial foreclosure, landlord tenant litigation, division of assets, trademark violation, and violation of non-compete agreements. Judith has represented individuals, Fortune 500 corporations, large corporations, religious institutions, hospitals, and a housing authority in connection with these matters.

Transactional and Corporate:

Judith has represented individuals and companies in the purchase and sale of businesses and in loan transactions. Judith has drafted, negotiated, and represented clients with respect to a wide array of business contracts, including publishing agreements, employment agreements, CEO agreements, consulting agreements, independent contractor agreements, talent agreements, severance agreements, non-disclosure agreements, non-compete agreements, confidentiality agreements, indemnification agreements, escrow agreements, licensing agreements, endorsement agreements, general contractor agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, and shareholder, partnership, and operating agreements. Judith has prepared and represented clients with respect to marital and cohabitation agreements. Judith has represented small business owners and a Hall of Fame athlete long-term as inside-outside counsel in connection with daily business operations and dealings.

Real Estate:

Judith’s experience includes representing clients in real estate transactions, including with respect to the purchase and sale of commercial and residential real property and the sale of mineral rights. Judith has experience as a closing agent and a title insurance agent. Judith has represented clients with respect to leasing and construction, including drafting and negotiating leases and general contractor agreements.

Probate, Trusts, and Estates:

Judith has served as a successor trustee of a revocable trust after the death of the grantor and has represented a trust beneficiary in dealings with the corporate trustee and successor beneficiaries. Judith has represented clients in probate litigation and conservatorships, and has drafted last wills and testaments, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
